Charles Krypell Ivy White Diamond Earrings

Posted by Schiffman's at 12:00:00 AM in Charles Krypell (45)

The Charles Krypell Ivy White Diamond Earrings are a statement piece, captivating and beautiful. 2.64 carats of white diamonds diamonds are set in precious pave against sterling silver. The earrings have a 14k post and measure 60x15mm, meaning they're large enough to be a statement piece while remaining easy to wear and integrate with everyday fashion. The earrings also come in black diamonds and form part of a larger sterling silver collection that also includes two-metal designs rendered in yellow or rose gold. The most captivating aspect of these particular earrings are the curved shape, which gives them movement and a sculpture-like feel.

The shape of the earrings has much to do with the designer's artistic roots. A native New Yorker and graduate of the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, Charles Krypell has been designing and creating captivating jewelry for over thirty years. He was an accomplished sculptor before launching his jewelry business in 1976, a talent that comes through in the captivating shape of many of his designs. Indeed, many of Krypell's advertising campaigns emphasized the sculpture-like and multi-dimensional beauty of his jewelry. By 1995, Krypell's designs had become mainstream at high-end retailers.

These ivy white diamond earrings are part of the Sterling by Krypell collection launched by Charles Krypell in 2006. They were designed to be "wearable art" - elegant yet casual, classic but also fresh, and artistic while also easy to integrate into a woman's everyday life.

Charles Krypell Precious Pastel Earrings

Posted by Schiffman's at 12:00:00 AM in Charles Krypell (45)

Capturing the joyful spirit of renowned designer Charles Krypell, these brilliant diamond earrings from his Precious Pastel Collection are every woman's dream to possess.

Dropping from a diamond-fronted lever back fastener, the 0.70 Carat Round Brilliant Cut G-color and VS-1 clarity Diamond in each earring is surrounded by small sparkling stones in a white gold setting. Three Fancy Yellow Diamonds, set in yellow gold, accent the Brilliant Cut stone top and bottom. Typical of a Charles Krypell design, they are aesthetically pleasing from all angles and crafted to capture the spirit of the woman who wears them.

The Two-Toned Earrings are typical of Charles Krypell's distinctive jewelry designs. The New York designer has been captivating the jewelry world since 1976 when he forsook sculpture to launch his first collection of jewelry in sterling silver. This was the metal that captured his imagination as lending itself well to his three dimensional form approach to creating the unconventional pieces that became the foundation of his later collections which add platinum and gold to the media he chooses to design in.

The Precious Pastels Collection features natural red, blue and pink diamonds in addition to the yellow and white ones in these earrings. Like them, however, the stones are set in platinum and 18-karat gold. As with all the Krypell collections, the pieces are designed through the sculptor's eye for dimension. Personally signed Certificates of Authenticity come with every piece of Charles Krypell jewelry.

Charles Krypell Skye Turquoise Ring

Posted by Schiffman's at 12:00:00 AM in Charles Krypell (45)

Since 1976, Charles Krypell has been pioneering designs in the industry of jewelry fashion. His particular style is rooted in his early background and passion in sculpting and carving. Krypell's modern day collections are vastly reflective of his growth as an artist, and they also embody both strength and brilliance in design and craft.

Krypell's Skye Turquoise collection is a statement of boldness and elegance. The Skye Turquoise Ring, a piece that can be worn to accent or accompany any outfit, is the cherry on the top. The sterling silver setting is carved with an intricate pattern that is the stark contrast of the classic checkerboard cut of the turquoise. The turquoise itself is a beautiful piece of mineral, derived only from the finest sources. It is coated and protected by a clear quartz overlay to help the ring maintain its overall integrity. The thick, rounded band completes the look. The ring even features a hidden ornate design on the inside of the band, a mark of true craftsmanship and dedication to making a truly unique product.

The Skye Turquoise look can be completed by matching the ring with the bracelet, necklace, or earring from the same collection. Wear one or wear them all, the entire collection is truly a masterpiece from a master jeweler. The Sky Turquoise ring also comes in a lighter blue color and a range of sizes to perfectly fit any wearer.

Charles Krypell Skye Hematite Earrings

Posted by Schiffman's at 12:00:00 AM in Charles Krypell (45)

The combination of sterling silver with black hematite makes these Skye Hematite Earrings a spectacular example of how contrasts can be used to make each other stand out. Flowing into what seems like an intricate web of lace, the sterling silver suspends the polished facets of the hematite, which has been shaped so that its curves converge into a single perfect point. Together, these two elements create a clean and elegant image that is sure to impress regardless of the time and occasion, thus making it perfect for a wide range of people in a wide range of settings.

Such a result is nothing less than what can be expected of Charles Krypell, who is a New York-born and New York-trained sculptor who has worked with a wide range of materials that include but are not limited to clay, wood, stone, and metal over the course of three decades. Over that period of time, Krypell has managed to win over customers that range from department stores to celebrities and consumers with selective tastes. Partly, this was because of his business skills, and partly, this was because of his recognition that designs have to evolve with the times. As a result, it should come as no surprise to learn that these Skye Hematite Earrings are symbolic of his collection, which seeks to showcase the wonderful combinations of precious metals and precious stones that are possible.

Accessorizing dos and don’ts

Posted by Schiffman's at 12:20:00 PM in Charles Krypell (45)

Wearing accessories is no rocket science, but still, we see people violate the most fundamental rules to their embarrassment. Accessorizing includes jewelry, bags, hats, belts, and other items that add accent to your overall getup. Accent, yes, because the number one rule is—the accessory should not overwhelm your dress. For example a Charles Krypell Sterling ring is perfect for a knee-length blue dress. The bracelet doesn’t try to steal the attention from the dress, but, instead, highlights the color. Another basic rule is to use a minimal amount of accessories for one outfit at a time. Sure, your jewelry collection is impressive, but wearing them all at once will make you look contrite and even cheap, trying to draw attention to your set. On the other hand, if in case, your jewelry is bold, counter that with an understated dress.

The Allure of sterling silver

Posted by Schiffman's at 9:00:50 AM in Charles Krypell (45)

Many people are attracted to sterling silver for a number of factors that other precious metals cannot meet. First, sterling silver has the brightest shine compared to other metals. Its white shiny look exudes glamor that fits both formal and casual wear. Second, sterling silver is durable and easily customized or repaired because it is more malleable than gold or platinum. Third, still due to its malleability, sterling silver can be cast with more style and artistry. Jewelers can create intricate patterns with it, as evident in a Charles Krypell sterling silver. Likewise, sterling silver compliments other precious metals and materials, such as, yellow gold, white gold, rose gold, and platinum… even brass, copper, and leather. Lastly, for practical reasons, sterling silver is a lot cheaper than other metals.

Secret to strong relationship

Posted by Schiffman's at 1:00:45 AM in Charles Krypell (45)

My wife and I have been married for twenty years now, not a small accomplishment in this age of divorces flying around like a virus stalking its next victim. We still wear our Charles Krypell rings, and we couldn’t be happier. When friends would ask us what our secret, I always fumble with answer, not having thought about a “secret” is necessary, nor are we conscious about doing something specifically special. But these questions kept me thinking about our “secret”. It took me a while to zero in on how we make our relationship strong through the years, then, I realized we love hosting people around. I thought that should be our secret.  Most relationship tips that you read are about the couple, but in our experience, maybe by looking out of the relationship and involving other people in your social life from time to time keeps the relationship balanced.

4 Factors to Consider When Matching Diamond with your Style

Posted by Schiffman's at 6:00:00 AM in Charles Krypell (45)

Signature diamonds like Charles Krypell offer a wide array of diamond jewelry in various designs that choosing what’s best for you can at times be tricky. Not if you know your style. You just need to think of four factors. First, consider the size. If you’re on the bold side, bigger stones can match your personality. On the other hand, smaller stones express a more subdued but elegant character. Second, the setting also counts. Solitary exudes confidence, while multiple stones suggest a more playful personality. Third, color can also set your character. White diamond is more traditional, while colored ones reflect a more contemporary or novel side. Fourth, you can also use the design to match your style. Elaborate finishes fit a more extrovert trait. On the other hand, simple designs like seamless linear bands are more ideal for women who want to keep things modest but sophisticated.

Only Stars Lose Luster

Posted by Schiffman's at 9:00:50 AM in Charles Krypell (45)

Every time we look up the night sky and see millions and even billions of stars twinkling and taking pride with their own light, we can imagine endless possibilities that lie between the earth and the sky considering the boundless distance stretching out in between and the potentials that happen in every inch of that distance. Their light seems eternal but like anything else in the world, they come to an end. But unlike the stars, a Charles Krypell made piece cannot be outshone even by the sunshine in the morning and like work of art, the longer you have it, the more valuable it becomes. Just like the Charles Krypell 18k White and Green Gold Earrings crafted from 18kt white and green gold with brilliant white diamonds (0.28cts.) all of which are VS in quality and G in color, a dazzling piece that exudes light more than anything; for stars will lose luster but never a Charles Krypell.

With Silver, The Better

Posted by Schiffman's at 10:00:00 AM in Charles Krypell (45)

Not everything that sparkles is diamond. But some are as good, like silver. Glossy and smooth, sterling silver is one of the most popular metals used in jewelry. Commonly used in eating utensils, silver wares are our dearest household’s most precious. Since ancient times, it has been considered as priceless treasures.
The sterling alloy originated in continental Europe and was being used for commerce as early as the 12th century in the area that is now northern Germany. Sterling silver is an alloy of silver containing 92.5% by mass of silver and 7.5% by mass of other metals, usually copper. The sterling silver standard has a minimum millesimal fineness of 925.
Fine silver is 99.9% pure and is generally too soft for producing functional objects; therefore, the silver is usually alloyed with copper to give it strength while preserving the ductility and beauty of the precious metal. Other metals can replace the copper, usually with the intent to improve various properties of the basic sterling alloy such as reducing casting porosity, eliminating fire scale, and increasing resistance to tarnish.
Because of its fine and unique metallic properties, it is the most favored metal used in eating implements and cutlery sets. Abundant and practical, sterling silver is an ideal material for everything useful and everyday use. Charles Krypell has a personal crave for the same metal, and his way of showing it is through fine jewelry.

Yellow (Pink and White) Diamonds in the Sky

Posted by Schiffman's at 11:00:00 AM in Charles Krypell (45)

They say that big girls need big diamonds. I say, colorful girls need colorful diamonds. Yes, diamonds are renowned as a material with superlative physical qualities, its hardness and thermal conductivity adds to its popularity as a gemstone. But more than that, its appeal and charm boil down to its cutting, end polish, and very few types of impurities – all contributing to its astonishing optical features – not to mention that it has relatively high optical dispersion (ability to disperse light of different colors), which results in its characteristic luster. Beyond the usual colorless or transparent diamonds are the vibrant, all-appealing, show-stopper, colored diamonds. Because there are only handfuls of colored diamonds of any size that are cut each year, it is more rare than the colorless. With a standing demand, buying one now is a good investment opportunity – being more reliable than real estate and easier to transport than an item such as a painting or sculpture.
Charles Krypell, in its Precious Pastel Collection, offers to the discerning eyes and investments pink, yellow and white diamonds – all transcending generations and allowing you to discover a whole new world  that surrounds you with an aesthetic atmosphere.

Krypell for Keeps

Posted by Schiffman's at 12:00:00 PM in Charles Krypell (45)

The most special things in life are the only things that are worth keeping for. These things are treasures with intrinsic value, derived from inspiration and sealed with emotion—these treasures are recognized to be Charles Krypell made.
Charles Krypell is one of the world’s most renowned jewelry designers. He began sculpting before entering the world of gold, platinum, sterling silver, and rare and precious gems.
Inspired by life itself, Krypell happens to have a gift whereas he sees things that most people cannot. As a designer, he can see something in any sort of a structure or on a page that inspires him and he’ll put that twist on it where he can put his name to it and call it his own. He calls it a designer’s license. Just living life inspires and being able to see things in a manner that he is able to interpret into a three-dimensional piece of jewelry is what gets him very excited. And because he worked with stone for so long, when he was finally fortunate enough to discover jewelry, he just created jewelry on a level that was very different from what the jewelry industry had ever experienced.
Evolutionary, not revolutionary—for more than thirty years, Charles Krypell has enthralled many with this sense of design while he works with his jewelry. Motivated to cultivate collectors of his clients and craft pieces that will be passed down from one generation to the next, Krypell does not design only for certain seasons, but sees to it to introduce new pieces all year through to enable his clients or any buyer to cultivate a collection of his or her own pieces and find for a distinct quality of craft among the pieces.
According to him, he was very fortunate to go to art school and discover a whole new world, one that surrounded him with an aesthetic atmosphere. But when he discovered sculpture, it formed his mind at seeing things in a dimensional manner. Everything he works with is natural and interesting.  Charles Krypell also has the most beautiful of semi-precious stones and fashion sterling for those that just love products that are bold and dramatic and affordable and will make women feel very special.
Where most people go into jewelry as a beginner, he approached jewelry with a mindset of a three-dimensional factor knowing that a woman should be animated. When she's animated, when she's waving her hands and being expressive, when she talks and relays any sort of a message, he wants what she's wearing on her hand to be dimensional and a piece of art that just happens to be called jewelry.
He always says he looks at the consumer when they approach him and they see something beautiful. He tells them, "What you're looking at here is paint; you have to be the canvas, and one cannot live without the other." Once they apply the paint to the canvas, a piece of art is developed.
Appearing at about eighty jewelry events each year, he takes pride in presenting his jewelry from such collections as the Baguette Collection; Precious Pastels, which use pink, yellow and white diamonds; Pastels, which combines the best in semi-precious stones; Forever Yours; Krypell Kids; and Sweethearts.
Even the stones the Earth don’t give up too easily like the most exotic pinks and blues and green diamonds.
Charles Krypell, unlike any other designer, designs throughout the year and not only for a certain season  knowing that there are different types of occasion that people want to be involved in one way or another. According to him, money is not his motivation, he is motivated by just design, and he designs in three different mediums: sterling silver, platinum and gold.
“When you come in and view my collection there will be something in any price point with an aesthetic level that is identical on any level, price-wise,” making his jewelry luxuriously affordable.
What he loves about creating jewelry is not only a single part; it’s the whole part of the process. It’s the conceptualizing and materializing it in a three-dimensional form. It’s producing it in a medium that you thought of, in either sterling or gold or platinum. It’s thinking that it is possible to incorporate the best that Earth has to offer in pink, blue and green or white diamonds because he just knows that the design warrants it. And then once it’s done, finished, and goes into a store like Schiffman’s, and then seeing people entering the shop, seeing his pieces and say something like “I love it.”
In the end it is not the monetary or extrinsic value of the jewelry that matters, Charles Krypell sees to it that whatever design he conceptualize there’s that whole lot of intrinsic value when it materializes. This intrinsic value is what makes Krypell jewelry worth keeping for.

A Piece of Sculpture in Every Design

Posted by Schiffman's at 3:00:00 AM in Charles Krypell (45)

Strictly defined, sculpture art is any three-dimensional artistic creation. There is no formal definition for what can or cannot be used in sculpture, as such, artists have cut into and reworked practically every possible medium you can think of, including wood, bronze, glass, marble, balloons, ice, plastic polymers, frozen blood, sand, and, of course, stones.  With stones, one artist stands out among the rest – Charles Krypell.
A Charles Krypell creation is always a Charles Krypell, linked over time by sensuous design, elegant three-dimensionality and, of course, a deep understanding of human romance and desire. Constantly pushing the boundaries of design, Charles utilizes his sculptor’s eye, ample artistic talent, and keen insight into human nature to fashion one of the world’s premier jewelry lines.  He continues to challenge himself to reach the height of beauty and distinction. Currently, his line includes these exceptional collections: Precious Pastels, Pastel, Sterling, Gold, Sweethearts and of course, the signature Krypell Baguette Collection.

Krypell Captivates Once More

Posted by Schiffman's at 12:55:00 PM in Charles Krypell (45)

Designer jewelry is a must have when it comes to high-end fashion. It is not only the jewelry that matters but also the designer who made it so it is important that we know the authenticity of the jewelry, names of the designers and their artistic qualifications and background. Since jewelry is a form of art and medium of expressing one’s self through the colors and brilliance of every piece, we have to look very closely to the design concept and details of pieces that we wear, like it is made for us. One designer who does this kind of jewelry is Charles Krypell. What Charles Krypell has is jewelry that captivates the senses and suits the spirit.
Born in 1954, Charles Krypell has been internationally hailed for his dedicated comprehension of fine jewelry. He is one of the most sought after designers of astute collectors and famous celebrities. Charles has a universal design that captures every soul and connects with everyone.
Before his name became synonymous to design and quality, Charles Krypell is a native New Yorker who realized that he wanted to be a jeweler while attending Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. As a sculptor, Krypell did not only work with jewelry, but with several art mediums. It was jewelry, however, that captured his artistic sensibilities. "there is a dimensional quality of texture and movement that captivated me," stated Krypell.
He is one of the few designers who has been able to synthesize the three dimensional quality of jewelry, Krypell's work demands viewer involvement. His jewelry twists, dives, turns, and curves while tantalizing one's senses in a panorama of exquisite gems.
It is not only his sculptural capabilities that he transfers to his designs but also his artistic philosophy. He is faithful in “evolution rather than revolution” of style. Krypell believes that it is not just owning a piece but owning an ensemble. Krypell is not interested in attracting customers plain and simple but in making and cultivating collectors. The pieces he created in the past relate to his pieces in the present making a linkage of time to every collection.  It is the art of mixing and matching of the wearer that creates her own statement of fashion.
To mix and match these pieces, Charles Krypell has an extensive list of collections to choose from, this includes Precious Pastels, Pastel, Sterling, Gold, Sweethearts and of course, the signature Krypell Baguette Collection.
The Precious Pastels Collection is the heart of Charles Krypell. Charles describes this collection as “very bright, beautiful and conventional.” He makes use of the best stones including pink, yellow, blue and white diamonds, in platinum and 18-karat gold. He styles Precious Pastels to the most discriminating collectors who wish to buy pieces and build a collection.
Rubellite, morganite, peridot, aquamarine and green tourmaline and other stones are used in Charles Krypell’s Pastel Collection. This collection caters to versatility, giving women the opportunity to purchase a piece and then become collectors by mixing and matching coordinating pieces. This “evolution rather than revolution” method works because Charles remains disciplined in his use of colored stones. One of the highlights of the Pastel Collection is the glamorous reversible pendant creating two different looks at the same time with the colors forward or backward, peridot and diamonds on one side and encrusted diamonds on the other.
Little Sweethearts on the other hand, is a collection of charms and pendants designed to commemorate the birth of children, or grandchildren. His Brilliance Collection features brilliantly cut diamonds and colored gemstones. It is designed in 18 karat yellow or white gold with diamonds, rubies, sapphires, emeralds or pink sapphires. This combination of gemstone colors can be chosen to represent the gender of a child or a particular person (Pink for a daughter, Blue for a son or Diamonds for Mom) and worn as a pendant or bracelet.
Sterling by Krypell is a collection featuring dimensionality and perfect balance. The Sterling collection caters to a wider market of clientele who desires to purchase a Charles Krypell piece at lower and more affordable price. Charles believes that Sterling by Krypell could become one of the most important collections to come out in the last 25 years. With jewelry designs to last a lifetime, Charles Krypell envisions Sterling by Krypell to become a mainstream in fashion.
For love of the craft and art, Charles Krypell only uses the best in gemstones and diamonds in his creations. Furthermore, all Krypell pieces have the Krypell name stamped on the piece. Those who imitate Krypell's style are not stamped with the Krypell name and the quality of gemstones and diamonds are sub-standard of those in authentic Krypell pieces.
To be sure of the authenticity of your Charles Krypell’s pieces, purchase them only from Schiffman’s. You can try them on at Schiffman’s at Friendly Center! Schiffman’s is a certified and an authorized dealer for Charles Krypell.
