Tricks from savvy gifters

Posted by Schiffman's at 7:01:48 PM in Anna Weatherley (31)

Holidays are approaching fast and gift shopping time is drawing to a close. If you are still wishy-washy on what to buy your friends and parents, well here's a good tip I've learned from the gift shopping savvy. For gifts, it’s always good to give something that they can use. Well, that's being captain obvious a little but that filters through the next and arguably more important criterion - a gift that they will easily remember you by. Well, this can be something they can display in their homes or something that they can use on special occasions. The latter is also a special trick to get you associated with that special good vibe feeling. What I'd likely go for is something that satisfies these categories and maybe more. One brand that satisfies all these is Anna Weatherley whose china pieces are wonderfully designed. Design ranges from Asian, Old-World European and contemporary ones - creations that would fit any home style.

A Natural Masterpiece

Posted by Schiffman's at 7:37:29 AM in Anna Weatherley (31)

It's not the luxurious name or the clean, crisp porcelain material that has shaped this brand into one of the world's renowned luxury home décor signatures. It's the attention to detail that sets Anna Weatherley apart. Take the Anna's Tulips line. Its hand-painted design reveals a morning dew effect that you can feel touching the tulips' leaf. It exudes a freshly pick affair, a nature's setting, where even a lady bug is seen perched on the flower, a realistic accent to the piece. The tulips are an ideal complement to your living room or dining area with a pastel theme washed in earth green, yellow, blue, tangerine, and indigo hues. The colors smoothly flow in gradient transitions that follow the natural contour of both flower and leaf. It's a masterpiece waiting to be displayed in your home.

There’s Always Room for More Beauty

Posted by Schiffman's at 7:00:00 AM in Anna Weatherley (31)

When it comes to dinnerware and tableware, there is always room for more – for variety. It is not an entirely bad idea to add more to your collection as life is not at its best when it is monotonous. So when you get the urge to maybe spice it up or change it a little by making your home meals just a little better with new dinnerware, it is more likely than not that you’d find what you’re looking for in an Anna Weatherley collection. Anna Weatherley specializes in hand painted designs on porcelain. These designs are usually little insects and flowers that are delicately done in 17th-century Dutch painting styles. Designs evoke a classic feel that looks good in both traditional and contemporary homes.

Old-World and Contemporary China

Posted by Schiffman's at 9:00:35 AM in Anna Weatherley (31)

A home can always be better with proper pieces of china to be enjoyed by the whole family for every occasion. And one producer of properly made and beautiful china is Anna Weatherley. Each piece is delicately hand painted with intricate designs that include flowers, insects, and leaves. These are modeled after 16th, 17th, and 18th century botanical art. Pieces exhibit natural shades of different colors that are made alive by 24-karat gold accents. The creator, Anna Weatherley, is an international designer that has her hand in designing and manufacture couture fashion, home furnishings, printed textiles, and jewelry. Her successful foray into hand-painted porcelain started in the early 1990s as she established a studio in Budapest, Hungary and trained a team of highly talented painters to create her collection of hand-painted porcelain. While being influenced by old-world techniques, Anna Weatherley pieces fit at home in the contemporary setting. Anna Weatherley designed a 75-piece service set that is included in the White House China.

For Royals, Presidential Families and You

When choosing China pieces for your home and you only want the best, it is never wrong to add Anna Weatherley to your shortlist. Her pieces may even end up as your only choice. Anna Weatherley pieces are delicately hand painted with intricate flowers, insects, and leaves. She finds inspiration in 16th, 17th, and 18th century botanical art. Each of her work is hand painted by Hungarian artisans that she trained herself. Anna Weatherley pieces have been enjoyed by the A-List — no lower than a White House commission. Yes, she was commissioned by the White House for the Bush administration. She also had an interesting project for Anna Wintour, a Vogue editor. She was commissioned for a gift to Princess Diana — a pair of porcelain cachepots with 18th-century inspired pears, cherries and gooseberries.

Color your Dining

Posted by Schiffman's at 6:00:00 AM in Anna Weatherley (31)

You can add style to your dining set by creating a color scheme. Anna Weatherley offers nice color schemes to set your table mood. All color themes run across various Anna Weatherley pieces, from chargers to plates and cups to saucers. The Aqua Green theme adds a cool breeze of the open meadow to an early morning set. Similarly, you can almost smell the sea breeze with the Sky Blue collection, much like with the Indigo Blue, which is perfect for a rest house setting or a resort by the beach. The Purple Orchid meantime exudes the elegance of a night garden dinner. Quite the opposite, the Sunburst Yellow sets the afternoon tea, reminiscent of the setting sun. The Meadow Green somewhat evokes the same ambiance, an outdoor feel in the late afternoon.

Fish tales

Posted by Schiffman's at 1:00:00 AM in Anna Weatherley (31)

Anna Weatherley fish natural dinnerware goldIt is one of those fishy ideas that get your attention. No, nothing sinister about it, but literally fishes are beautifully rendered on an Anna Weatherley hand-painted porcelain set. We can’t escape the depth of the fishes’ colors; they can give aquarium fishes a run for their money. It is a feast of various fishes caught in their natural beauty, such as the grouper look-alike flashing its aquamarine blue and yellow-orange to golden scales. Or another fish bragging its silvery body highlighted by its deep maroon tail. Yet one more that is unabashedly pink, which may even be a male. Anna Weatherley artists seem to have enjoyed creating this dinnerware line, such that buying one will likely make you want to complete the whole set. The plates are rimmed in gold and made from fine porcelain.

Tulips you can kiss

Posted by Schiffman's at 8:00:25 AM in Anna Weatherley (31)

Annas Tulips elegant colors naturalThe petals appear freshly picked as a morning dew slides down the flower's leaf. A lady bug seems attracted by the natural scent of the tulip. It is a natural setting that is nowhere near being natural; the flower, dew and the bug are all made in porcelain. The Anna's Tulips collection exudes the Anna Weatherley signature hand painted porcelain. Ideal as an accent to a centerpiece or a complementary display to a natural themed interior, the Anna's Tulips are realistic rendition of the flowers. Washed in a mix of pastel and earth colors of yellow, green, blue, indigo and tangerine, Ana's Tulips add an elegant touch to the living room. The hues are treated in natural gradients that flow across the contour of the tulip and the leaf. The collection is but one masterpiece addition yet again from Anna Weatherley, the hallmark of fine hand painted porcelain.

Butterflies are meant to fly

Posted by Schiffman's at 7:00:00 AM in Anna Weatherley (31)

butterfly Anna Weatherley porcelain insect floral ladybugAnna Weatherley has fun catching butterflies and laying them out beautifully on hand-painted porcelain dinnerware. The colorful winged insects are set in three lovely themes: Butterfly Green, Butterfly Blue and Butterfly Floral. The butterflies are playfully set and they liberally “fly” around the plates, cups, saucers, mug and bowls, among others. They are rendered in light colors, almost pastel in hues, which complement each other in a smooth application of gradients and tone shifts. Not to be outdone, the flowers display their petals openly as their leaves provide a graceful backdrop. There is an evident attraction between the butterflies and the flowers, a romantic interlude being played out on your dinnerware. For good measure, ladybugs freely run about as added complement to the butterfly theme.

Porcelain par excellence

Posted by Schiffman's at 10:00:00 AM in Anna Weatherley (31)

Anna Weatherley porcelain China hand paintedDid you know that although porcelain is generally considered to come from China, the name is derived from the old Italian world porcellana, meaning a cowrie shell? The factor that makes porcelain tough and translucent, as opposed to ceramics, is the glass and the mineral mullite that form when subjecting clay in the form of kaolin at extreme heat. The porcelain’s strength, whiteness, translucency and resonance are the primary factors that make this material perfect for housewares and tableware. Porcelain is even made more perfect when hand painted like an Anna Weatherley Amber Leaf collection. The leaves, vines and butterflies appear to be “inside” the porcelain, creating a depth that is twice made deeper by the smooth hue transitions. Enjoy porcelain at its best with this collection that includes plates, cocktail dish and platters.

Floral flair

Posted by Schiffman's at 7:00:20 AM in Anna Weatherley (31)

Anna Weatherley hand painted porcelain Hungary tulip floralAnna Weatherley dinnerware is known for the hand-painted porcelain tradition that dates back two centuries in Hungary. Its artisans are masters in classical painting, but what makes Anna Weatherley a distinct collection is the inspiration it takes from early botanical and floral illustrations and paintings of eighteenth-century Europe, notably the tulip collection based on the Alexander Marshal’s rare works at the Royal Library of Windsor Castle. But Anna Weatherley is also known for simple yet elegant dinnerware like its Palette collection. The plates, chargers and tea cups are rendered in soothing colors, such as aqua green, indigo blue, purple orchid and sunburst yellow. The set line looks simple, yet the Weatherley floral flair is still evident in the flowing, symmetrical, flower-shaped rim plated in gold. The Anna’s Palette edition is a good classy addition to your everyday dinnerware.
